Hai friends,

                 In this article, we are going to see What is FOSS?What it provides?and What is the FOSS Concept?.First let us see,What is a foss?

 WHAT IS FOSS?

                  FOSS stands for Free and Open Source Software.As far as my concern,LEARN- DEVELOP – DEPLOY is the motto of FOSS.

 What FOSS Provides?

                     SERVE  : FOSS provides full freedom to use the software to meet your own requirements.

                    STUDY : FOSS provides freedom to Study and modify the software.

                    SHARE : FOSS provides freedom to Redistribute the modified as well as original version of the   software.

 FOSS CONCEPT:

• The term FREE refers to FREEDOM not the cost
• It does not mean no cost it refers to the fact that the software is free of any conditions (or) rules.

The software provides the following four freedoms:

1. Gives full freedom to meet one’s own requirements.(i.e) can be used for any purpose
2. to study the software
3. to modify the software
4. to redistribute the modified (or) original versions of the software.
